Quality Inspector, Permanent position, Basic salary £24,972.00, + Benefits - Bonuses, pension, Life assurance, health cover.

Great opportunity for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a company who specialise within the Automotive Industry.


The purpose of the role will be working as part of the quality department you will be responsible for equipment calibration, parts inspection, procedures, validation of results, vetting specifications and general operation of the testing lab. Additional quality-related duties may also be required on occasion to support the needs of the department and the business. The role demands a high level of personal integrity with regards to exceeding the standards set by the Quality Department.

  • Support the flow of operations on a day to day basis
  • Manage the goods inwards supplier conformance
  • Measuring and reporting of conformity of parts to drawing specifications
  • Maintain department KPI's;
  • Maintain equipment and calibration system.
  • Evaluation / verdict and certification of test results.
  • Vetting and commenting on standards, specifications and enquiries.
  • Audit operator compliance to procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the area
  • Ensure TPM regime is adhered to minimise equipment downtime
  • Support company in developing further Lean activities
  • Maintains standards, practices and procedures for area

Essential skills:

A minimum of between 3-5 years' experience working within an engineering and/or Laboratory environment

Experience and knowledge of relevant gauging and inspection technology, incl. CMM, Faro, hand-gauges

Able to read and interpret engineering drawings

PC literate

Excellent attention to detail and good oral and written communication skills

Safety conscious.

Confidence to work autonomously when required.

Familiar with working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Experienced auditor

Familiarity with Aberlink® or PC-DMIS® CMM software

Continuous improvements thinker
