You've got your Mechanical Engineering Degree and you're on your way. There are so many jobs out there at the moment, all with the same baseline. 3D design of some form, working within a business looking to grow because of the market boom.
Is that what you want? If so, have a look some of the other roles we are recruiting for - there are some fantastic opportunities!
But what if you're looking for something a bit different? What if you're looking for a role where you can plug into it in the morning and mess around with computers all day, running different simulations? Of course, you'll be a qualified Mechanical Engineer, and you'll need a good understanding of Stress Calculations to develop in the role, but you love being entrenched in the technology.
We're working with a firm who deal with literally some of the biggest companies in the World. They are a specialist in subsea cable protection, providing a range of protection for cables to industries such as Oil & Gas and Windfarms.
The position sits in a specialist department of analysts, that will feed into the Design Team. All designing, manufacturing and testing of the products are done on site, so you can literally see your work develop into products and feel that sense of achievement as they are shipped off across to some of the more hostile environments.
The role includes:
- Performing analysis of offshore marine products on a day to day basis using Orcaflex.
- Carrying out FEA calculations using Ansys.
- Interface with both the Design Team and Supply Chain as required.
In return, the company will offer you a salary up to £29,000, 24 days holidays + Bank Holidays, 5% employer contribution (on top of your 4%) and flexible working, including 2 days working from home once your probation has been passed after 3 months.
