Or maybe this would be your first role in industry, but you have relevant experience with Python, NextGen sequencing and reviewing statistical data?
As an Associate Bioinformatician you will be a valued and integral member of the company supporting the Senior Bioinformation working across various departments to compare the companies IVD Medical Device assays on the market and advise on improvements.
This will involve Software development, database maintenance, and report generation.
You will work closely with a team of Molecular Scientists, attending regular meetings in the Laboratory.
You will utilise NextGen Sequencing (NGS) in your process of collating data and generating reports.
You will use Python and Jupyter Lab books, as well as accessing public reference sources such as GISAID and NCBI databases.

Skills and Experience:
Degree in relevant subject - Bioinformatics, Biology, Computational Science, Genomics, Statistics or similar.
Familiar with Python and/or Jupyter Lab Books, Docker, Git, Linux, MySQL or similar software.
Familiar with sequencing data (Sanger & NGS) and Bioinformatics tools (alignment, variant calling, assembly, etc.)
