Job description

An experienced Risk Manager is required to lead the identification, assessment and mitigation of risk on a major nuclear and civil infrastructure project in Whitehaven. The role ensures project risks and opportunities are effectively managed in line with regulatory requirements, client expectations and recognised risk management best practice throughout the project lifecycle.

Who This Role Would Suit

This role would suit a Risk Manager with experience working on large construction, infrastructure or nuclear projects within highly regulated environments. It would appeal to someone confident facilitating risk workshops, analysing complex project risks and working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure informed decision making and effective project governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the project Risk Management Plan and associated governance processes.
  • Establish and manage risk and opportunity registers across the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate risk identification workshops with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Monitor risk exposure, mitigation actions and produce regular risk reports for senior leadership.
  • Work closely with planning, commercial and engineering teams to align risk management with project controls.

Requirements.

  • You must hold a P4 Pass to get onto Sellafield
  • Proven experience in Risk Manager, Risk Analyst, Project Controls or relevant position
  • Previous experience on Nuclear projects
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Eligible of SC Clearance


Location: Whitehaven
Permanent: Full Time, 40 hrs
Salary: circa £71k - £84k (dependent on experience) + Car Allowance
