An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Principal Telecoms Engineer to join a leading engineering project within the oil and gas sector. This role is based full-time in the Leatherhead office and will support a major onshore development project. The position focuses on delivering telecoms engineering packages from FEED through to execution.

This role would suit an experienced Telecoms Engineer who has previously held a lead position on onshore FEED projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in telecoms systems design and integration, with hands-on experience in developing detailed engineering deliverables. Prior involvement with Aramco or Middle Eastern projects is highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of telecoms engineering deliverables across all design phases
  • Prepare and review technical documentation such as block diagrams, schematics, cable schedules, and layout drawings
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct technical evaluations and specifications for systems including LAN/WAN, CCTV, PAGA, PABX, and wireless communications
  • Interface with multi-disciplinary teams and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications & Experience:

  • If you have hands-on experience and have been responsible for developing deliverables on major FEED projects, particularly with any oil and gas or Middle Eastern background
  • Opportunity to work on a high-profile Middle Eastern oil and gas project
  • Full-time office-based role in Leatherhead
  • Work within a collaborative and technically focused project team

In return you'll receive an hourly rate up to £55.00 per hour (client has deemed the role to be outside of IR35 but individual determination will still be required).
