Job description

Growth through Continuous Improvement is always a goal for businesses.

They can react by bringing in several projects by giving each project a budget to bring in individuals to manage their initial needs - usually on a contract - before taking stock of where they are as a business and finding long term solutions.

Our client is constantly looking at improvement, to bring in more projects and to manage them more effectively. With offices across the UK, they have been working hard to make the business one unit with different bases, rather than separate business units all acting autonomously. This allows them to manage projects more effectively with qualified engineers from across the UK who are entrenched in the client who specialise in their field, rather than reacting by bringing and ebb and flow of contractors.

To that end, they are looking for Principal Mechanical Engineers who have experience across any of their specialist industries - this includes Chemical, Petrochemical, FMCG or Pharmaceutical sectors. You will be chartered, degree qualified and bring a level of expertise to the business that the Head of Department can rely on you to play a big part in the projects in your field.

Your day to day will include:

  • Ensure Projects are delivered in a timely, cost aware, safe manner, providing technical solutions to provide a quality outcome.

  • Provide ongoing reviews and input into the departments processes and project objectives.

  • Be part of the Bid Analysis from Tenders and Technical Documentation.

  • Work closely with customers, vendors, subcontractors and external consultants.

  • Support the FAT and SAT processes.

In return you'll receive a salary circa £70k, 7% employer contributions to pension, a discretionary annual bonus, Private Healthcare and Life Assurance Policies.

So if you've spent your own career striving for personal improvement, and you're looking for that next challenge, get in touch today with Mark Dorey on mark.dorey@emp-sol.com or 0161 416 6296.
