We have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead projects from concept through to commissioning. This role combines creative and analytical responsibilities, including calculations, design, and technical drawings, while collaborating closely with engineers, workshop teams, and clients. The position is primarily based in South Yorkshire, with occasional UK travel to project sites.

This role would suit a self-motivated and detail-oriented engineer with strong mechanical design experience, particularly in manufacturing or bespoke engineering. Ideal for someone who enjoys full project ownership, from initial concept to delivery, and thrives in a team-driven environment with cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual designs backed by detailed calculations and engineering analysis.
• Manage mechanical design projects through all stages to final commissioning.
• Produce detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings using 3D CAD software.
• Collaborate with internal teams and client representatives throughout the project lifecycle.
• Apply FEA tools and engineering principles to validate and optimise designs.

In return you'll receive a salary up to £45k, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, Private Health, and a pension matched up to 4.5%.
