As you may know, we have been around since 2001, but things changed somewhat in 2007, when Carolyn, Neil, and Ian undertook a Management Buyout (MBO) of the business, which incorporated the already established First Logistics and Employment Solutions.
Since then, the company has grown exponentially, and if you have ever worked with us you will know how we continue to deliver exceptional candidates and our unrivaled working relationships with you - our clients.
To mark the occasion, we held a get together for the team at the office, coupled with balloons, pie, cake, and champagne in true northern style.
"What a tremendous year this has been for Employment Solutions. The office refurb; Neil and I working together for 21 years. Bringing in a Sales Director and seeing the technical business flourish. Ten years ago we were drinking Dom Perignon in Manchester celebrating the deal. Ten years on and I’m sitting with one of the most talented teams I’ve ever worked with drinking champagne and enjoying the moment. This is a time to share, not one to sit in a plush city hotel. I am looking forward to taking the business to the next level over the following three years. These are exciting times."
The last ten years have seen significant changes with the most recent rebrand and newly refurbished offices in Bury. Our new office space has given us more space, and environment in which to grow and succeed.
To achieve our goal, we have invested heavily in our CRM (Bullhorn) and Management Information System (Insight Squared) as a route to ensuring we have the appropriate foundations to our systems, processes, and analysis. We understand that too many recruitment companies fail to deliver on their growth plans as a result of a lack of investment in these areas, and we are determined to avoid this mistake.
The best systems in the world only work with the right people to operate them and take them forward, and so we have taken on new consultants to help shape the future of Employment Solutions, especially in the Technical Markets.
The appointment of an experienced Non-Executive Director (John Rose) with over 30 years in the recruitment sector, including 12 years as a CEO, means we have further expertise and knowledge to assist us in successfully managing our growth journey and to help double our turnover over the next few years.
Our new Sales Director (Lisa Kitt) has also taken control of the day to day responsibility for the revenue, profitability, and growth of the business with a key focus on increasing permanent revenue.
So, with all that in mind, we are all set for another successful ten years. However, we would not exist without our dedicated team of experts (well-done guys) or indeed you - our valued clients and skilled candidates, and for that, we say a big thank you.
