Storesperson, Temporary role - may lead to permanent for right applicant. £13 an hour

Working hours are Mon-Thurs 7:45am - 4:30pm, Fri 7:45am - 12:45pm

Immediate interviews and start dates.

Seeking a dedicated individual to ensure the efficient supply of materials and consumables from goods-in receiving to issuing to relevant departments while maintaining effective stock control. This role involves delivering fully kitted jobs to the assembly team and ensuring smooth operations within the supply chain process.

This position is ideal for a highly organised individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for maintaining efficient stock control. The perfect candidate would possess strong mathematical skills, the ability to work cross-departmentally, and a commitment to safety protocols. Experience in materials management and knowledge of ERP systems would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily kitting of material to jobs for the shop floor
  • Allocation of spare parts to sales orders for shipping
  • Booking items to stock from Goods in and Inspection
  • Meet and greet delivery drivers to sign for deliveries
  • Resolve material consumption errors or queries from finance/supervisors
  • Conduct regular stock takes and update ERP system
  • Manage consumables and date-sensitive items for stock integrity
  • Coordinate with purchasing for sub-contract jobs, ensuring correct lot numbers
  • Control lot numbers and manage stock rotation
  • Operate the saw for cutting raw bar material and issue lot numbers
  • Issue T-cards according to the job plan to keep the machine shop running
  • Maintain cross-department cover and training matrix
  • Wear personal protective equipment and complete health and safety training
  • Inform Purchasing of any stock items needing re-ordering
