We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading design team delivering bespoke engineering solutions. This role involves managing projects from initial concept through to commissioning, producing complex technical designs supported by detailed analysis, and ensuring successful delivery across multiple sectors. The position is primarily office-based with occasional UK travel.

This position is ideal for a driven and experienced engineer with a passion for managing full lifecycle mechanical design projects. It would suit someone with strong communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams while meeting strict deadlines within heavy or bespoke engineering sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for mechanical design projects from concept through to commissioning.
• Create and modify detailed engineering designs using SolidWorks and/or Inventor.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project specifications are met.
• Oversee the full design lifecycle, including manufacturing drawings, testing and installation.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality standards through effective planning and coordination.

In return you'll receive a salary up to £65k, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, Private Health, and a pension matched up to 4.5%.
