Quality Inspector required, Permanent position, £14.94 an hour, Standard days

May go onto 6-2, 2-10 shift, hourly rate will then increase to £18.67 an hour

This is a great opportunity to work for a manufacturing company who mainly specialise within the Nuclear and MOD Sectors.

Quality Inspector

As a Quality Inspector, you will be carrying out the final inspection for key products both visually and physically. This role offers a varied workday and will involve supporting the quality department with parts inspection.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring Quality standards are maintained and QMS procedures are followed correctly.
  • The role would require usage of inspection equipment (Micrometer, Vernier, Projector, CMM- training available)
  • Inspecting manufactured components and finished product prior to release.
  • Perform mechanical inspection on parts, sub-assemblies, and top-level assemblies and overall quality checks.
  • Verifying incoming receipt materials and finished product from sub-tiers
  • Maintaining Quality records and KPI data related to Quality Release.
  • Involvement in Quality investigations, take ownership and follow investigations through to a conclusion(s)
  • Create/Monitor concessions, production permits, rework sheets and maintain the Non-Conformance log.
  • Perform related duties as directed by Line Manager and work collaboratively on improvements that help to optimise efficiencies within quality and production departments in line with company policies.
  • Internal auditing.
  • Complete/Organise Internal calibration
  • Regularly liaise with production staff, engineers, management, and other members of the Quality department over quality issues.
  • Carry out training for production staff when required


Requirements

  • Quality Technician / Quality Inspection experience, working within a regulated industry.
  • Qualified preferred in Engineering such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Good working knowledge of quality inspection, tools and measuring equipment such as CMM.
  • Be Computer literate (Microsoft word, excel)
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Identify and act upon areas of improvement for self, others, and business
  • Be able to collate, analyse, interpret, and present information.

  • Methodical and process driven



Full Time, Days : Mon to Thursday - 7.45-4.30pm
Friday - 7.45-12.45pm
