10-Month Contract | 4-Day Week | Great Rates

£26 Days PAYE // £31 Nights PAYE // Overtime available // Digs allowance (if commuting over 50 miles)

Working hours: DAYS Monday-Thursday: 06:30-18:00 // NIGHTS Monday-Thursday: 19:10-06:40

We've got an exciting opportunity for experienced Pipe Welders to join a dynamic project based in Thirsk- with excellent day and night rates, a 4-day working week, and digs support for those travelling in.

What's on Offer:

  • 10-month contract - steady work through the year
  • 4-day week - Monday to Thursday only.
  • Great rates: £26.00 per hour Days (PAYE) // £31.00 per hour Nights (PAYE)
  • Overtime available
  • £digs allowance if you live over 50 miles away from site


Shifts Available:

  • Day Shift: 06:30 - 18:00 (Monday to Thursday)
  • Night Shift: 19:10 - 06:40 (Monday to Thursday)
  • (30 mins paid + 30 mins unpaid break)


The Role:
We're looking for highly skilled Pipe Welders with strong offshore or heavy industrial experience. You'll be performing high-precision welding in 6G positions on carbon and alloy steels, working to tight specs and delivering top-tier results every time.

Duties include:

  • Welding in 6G position using MAG (135) and FCAW (136)
  • Reading and working from WPS and engineering drawings
  • Performing structural and pressure welds with confidence
  • Completing fillet and full-pen butt welds to spec
  • Maintaining full compliance with quality and traceability standards
  • Using grinders, gougers, and other tools for a high-quality finish


What You'll Need:

  • Proven experience in offshore, oil & gas, or marine welding
  • Current or past weld certification in 6G positional pipe welding (MAG and FCAW)
  • Skilled in processes 135, 136, and FCAW
  • Able to interpret fabrication drawings and isometrics
  • Comfortable working to ISO 9606 or similar codes
  • Strong QA/QC focus and able to pass trade tests


Bonus if you have:

  • Background in large-scale offshore or heavy fabrication projects
  • Experience with self-checking and weld inspections
