Job description
A leading engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support a major offshore compression platform project. This hybrid role, based in Leatherhead, involves providing quality assurance input across procurement activities, supplier engagement, and auditing processes. The contract is offered on a nine-month basis, operating outside IR35.
This position would suit a detail-oriented Quality Engineer with a strong background in project quality assurance (QA), particularly within large-scale energy or offshore projects. It is ideal for someone who enjoys working collaboratively across international teams and is confident liaising with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure compliance and high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide QA input for pre- and post-award procurement activities, including bid evaluations and clarifications.
- Conduct and participate in kick-off meetings (KOM) with suppliers and project stakeholders.
- Perform supplier audits and assess compliance with project quality requirements.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with the Project Quality Manager and coordinate with teams based in client's overseas office.
