We have an exciting new opportunity for a Permanent Project & Programme Engineer to be based in Stockport working for an exciting client of ours that specialises in Tooling for the Aerospace, Nuclear, and Medical sectors.

You will be reporting to the Operations Director, leasing regularly with clients, working with ERP systems, and will ideally come from a tooling background. The client is currently busy delivering many complex projects and are looking to take on a Project & Programme Engineer to take on some of this workload.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring assigned technical and engineering projects, assisting with bids, and supporting the activities of buyers.
  • Translating client needs and organising practical terms into required timelines to be met by the team., whilst establishing and maintaining relationships with contractors and vendors.
  • Assessing the risk levels associated with a project.
  • Identifying and resolving potential problems with the project, leading the team into developing solutions and ensuring that they are implemented.
  • Researching the cost of items such as materials, transport, labour, and equipment Monitoring the costs at the different stages of a project to ensure it stays within the estimated costs.
  • Supporting Project Planning, creating Route Cards on the company's ERP system.
  • Supporting Quality Assurance on compilation and review of customer deliverables including Document Dossiers.


The ideal candidate will preferably have experience in project engineering and project planning. The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and translate product drawings into actionable process information. As well as develop design ideas and plans successfully.
