An Operations Manager is sought to lead our dynamic Operations Team, comprising shift managers, team leaders, a H&S Coordinator and production operatives. This pivotal role involves overseeing all site operations, emphasizing safety, efficiency, and collaboration. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in reducing costs, increasing efficiency, and fostering a culture of professionalism and safety.

The right candidate will excel in collaborative environments, possess strong budgetary and managerial skills, and have a commitment to enhancing operational processes and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all direct reports.
  • Develop and maintain operational budgets.
  • Collaborate with Technical, QC, Engineering, Planning, Inventory and Administration departments to build strong working relationships.
  • Assist in hiring, training, and managing performance.
  • Determine and fulfil operational staffing requirements promptly.
  • Cost reduction activities.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven Operations Management experience in Manufacturing, Chemicals preferred or transferable.
  • NEBOSH certified with strong H&S knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills across multi-functional teams
  • Experience in mentoring and training staff
  • Budget control experience

Salary: £50k - £60k (dependent on experience)
Benefits: Health Cover, Life Cover, Holidays, Pension
Permanent Contract: Full Time, Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
