Job description

We are currently seeking skilled MIG/MAG Welders to join a leading UK manufacturer of specialist steel support structures on a temporary to permanent basis. Operating across multiple sites with in-house design, production, and deployment capabilities, this role supports essential industries including telecommunications, offshore, and renewable energy sectors.

Who This Job Would Suit

This role would suit an experienced welder who is confident in multi-layer fillet and full penetration welds. Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out multi-layer fillet and full penetration V butt welds to meet NDT standards.
  • Work to BS EN ISO1090-2 structural steel requirements and interpret welding symbols accurately.
  • Follow detailed drawings, welding procedures, and oral/written instructions.
  • Complete fabrication tasks such as notching beams, marking out on tube and plate, and hatch cutting.
  • Participate in ongoing quality checks and contribute to a safe, efficient working environment.

Salary

  • £19.04 - £20.01 per hour (base rate)
  • £26.66 - £28.01 per hour (Overtime A)
  • £34.27 - £36.02 per hour (Overtime B)
  • Opportunity to earn an additional £1.50/hour through the Welder Proficiency Pay Scheme
