Mechanical Fitter - Contract Position

A well-established engineering company specialising in steel fabrication and installation is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to support the production and assembly of large-scale equipment. Based in the Wrexham area. Travelling will be paid for.

The role involves hands-on mechanical fitting work on-site, contributing to the construction and installation of heavy structural and production systems. This is a contract role running up to Christmas.

This role would suit skilled Mechanical Fitters with a strong background in working on industrial or construction sites. Ideal candidates will be practical, safety-conscious, and confident in handling large mechanical assemblies. Those who thrive in a busy, team-focused environment and are open to working overtime will be well suited to this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and align large mechanical and production equipment.

• Work collaboratively with fabrication and installation teams to meet project deadlines.

• Ensure all mechanical fittings meet precise quality and safety standards.

• Assist with site moves and the positioning of large-scale structures.

• Carry out maintenance, checks, and adjustments as required during production operations.
