Job description

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a skilled mechanical fitter to join a dynamic company in Preston. We are seeking time-served and apprentice-trained engineers with fitting and preferable pipe fitting skills. The role is with one of the world's foremost manufacturers and suppliers of commercial diving equipment, specializing in hyperbaric chambers, saturation diving systems, and various auxiliary support systems.

Who this job would suit:
Ideal for experienced engineers with a minimum of 5 years' expertise, adept at interpreting engineering drawings. Candidates with hydraulic and pneumatic system experience are preferred, and familiarity with industry-standard compression fittings is essential. The role demands individuals with expertise in pressure testing, working with high-pressure gases, and knowledge of diverse valves, pressure regulators, and gauges. Panel building experience would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret engineering drawings.
Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, with a preference for pipe fitting skills.
Conduct pressure testing of pressure vessels and inspections.
Handle high-pressure gases and equipment within pressure ranges up to 300 Bar (4500 PSI).
Demonstrate knowledge of various valves, pressure regulators, and gauges, with additional panel building experience.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a mechanical fitter to join a rapidly evolving and vibrant company based in Preston. We are looking for time-served and apprentice-trained engineers with fitting and preferably pipe fitting skills.
The role is for one of the world's leading manufacturers and suppliers of commercial diving equipment. They manufacture hyperbaric chambers, saturation diving systems, diver launch and recovery systems, hot water machines, diving control panels and auxiliary support systems. They also supply commercial diving equipment including Kirby Morgan diving helmets, breathing air compressors, Surface supplied diving umbilical's, underwater camera systems, underwater lighting, hydraulic underwater tools, and underwater NDT equipment.

KEY COMPETENCIES / EXPERIENCE
Skills and Experience

* Minimum 5 years' experience.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferable.
* Candidates must be familiar with industry-standard compression fittings,
* Experience in pressure testing of pressure vessels and inspections.
* Experience in working with high-pressure gases and equipment.
* Familiar with pressure ranges up to 300 Bar (4500 PSI).

Hours

* Monday - Thursday 7.30 am until 5 pm
* Friday 8 am until 12 pm
