We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer (Ideally elect bias) to join a growing company who supply into the automotive industry, working on a rotating shift pattern.
This role has come about as the business looks to expand their maintenance team. The average tenure in the department is 10+ years, these vacancies do not arise all the time. Your roles and responsibilities will include;
Responding to breakdowns - preforming route cause analysis to troubleshoot any problems what occur in production and across the plant, looking to repair and rectify any faults. Working with fast paced PLC controlled machinery
Preventative Maintenance - Carrying out a maintenance schedule to ensure equipment to ensure any potential downtime is minimised.
Improvements - With a keen eye on continuous improvement, analyse any areas of improvement of assembly, test equipment and the transfer systems.
Service - carrying out servicing and maintenance of all the plant equipment and machinery on site - service electrical and mechanical aspects of the equipment.
Installation - Supporting as required by the business with the installation of new machinery
To be considered you must meet the following.
Be qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering - Ideally qualified to ONC/HNC and ideally Electrically biased.
Time Served Apprenticeship.
Experience working with a manufacturing environment - Repairing and maintaining machinery - ideally within automotive.
PLC experience is highly desirable
