Introduction: We are currently hiring for the position of Facilities Mechanical Engineer to play a key role in our facilities department. As a lead mechanical engineer, you will be instrumental in managing critical assets and overseeing day-to-day operations, projects, and contractor activities on our live operational manufacturing site.
Who this job would suit: This role is ideal for a Facilities Mechanical Engineer holding a minimum HNC in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering, although suitable experience can compensate for lack of high level qualification. The perfect candidate will demonstrate a strong technical background in mechanical engineering systems, HVAC, and effective project management. They should excel in managing external contractors, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage crucial facilities assets to ensure optimal functionality.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of minor projects and improvement works on a live semiconductor manufacturing site.
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of contractors and associated works.
- Coordinate, supervise, and deliver facilities projects from inception to completion, emphasizing time, cost, quality, sustainability, and energy efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Upgrade facilities infrastructure to enhance site resilience using the most cost-effective and energy-efficient means.
- Monitor the site's PM activities to optimize equipment reliability, driving the delivery of condition monitoring and implementing best practice techniques in collaboration with the Maintenance teams.
