Job description
An opportunity is available for a Cost Controller to support a major nuclear civil engineering and infrastructure project in Whitehaven. This role is responsible for monitoring project costs, forecasting expenditure and ensuring robust financial control processes are maintained in line with programme objectives and strict regulatory requirements within a highly controlled project environment.
This role would suit a detail-oriented cost professional with experience in construction, infrastructure, or engineering projects. It is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, managing budgets, and supporting project teams with financial insights. Experience within regulated sectors such as nuclear, energy or defence would be highly advantageous. P4 Pass/Security cleared is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and forecasts to ensure financial control is maintained.
- Support the preparation of cost reports, cash flow forecasts and variance analysis.
- Work closely with commercial and project teams to track project performance and expenditure.
- Maintain cost systems, ensuring accurate and timely financial data and reporting.
- Assist with change control, identifying cost impacts and supporting decision-making processes.
The client is able to offer an attractive package for the role, including a salary ranging for £35,000-£45,000, £5060 car allowance, 8% pension contributions, private medical care and 25 days annual leave + BH.
