Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commissioning Engineer to join a specialist engineering team delivering complex electrical, control, and automation projects. This company is seeking a talented Commission Engineer to play a pivotal role in ensuring that equipment operates to specification and meets client expectations This full-time role involves site-based commissioning, testing, fault finding, and customer support across UK and international projects, ensuring equipment operates safely and to specification.
This role would suit a hands-on Commissioning Engineer with strong EC&I knowledge who thrives in fast-paced project environments. It is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working on customer sites, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The position suits individuals who are organised, safety-conscious, commercially aware, and comfortable with travel and occasional unsocial hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission, test, and validate electrical and mechanical systems to ensure performance to specification
- Conduct fault finding, troubleshooting, calibration, and electrical rotation/IO checks
- Liaise with project teams and contractors to ensure high installation standards
- Produce detailed site reports, documentation, and daily progress logs
- Provide technical support and training to customer maintenance and operations teams
This role offers a market-leading salary of £45,000-£55,000 (OTE £65,000+), along with 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, rising to 27 days after five years' service, a company pension, performance-related bonus, cycle-to-work scheme, and additional employee benefits.
