Last week Employment Solutions' Client Services Manager, Shaun Crossan, Attended Subcon in Birmingham.
Subcon is the UK's premier subcontract manufacturing supply chain show. It attracts professionals from across the sector who wish to gain valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities faced by British Manufacturers while also offering networking opportunities with potential partners.
We asked Shaun to give us a small update on how it went...
‘The noises coming from suppliers attending was that “business is good,” with healthy order pipelines providing Chief Executive Officers with problems that are nice to have; it was great to hear.
Technology was also on show; with some interesting businesses in the Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and IoT space looking to disrupt the sector, change is certainly coming. This change is already impacting those businesses in the Automotive Sector; however, with threat comes opportunity.
The session with Simon Garwood from WMG highlighted those opportunities within the Electric Vehicle Supply Chain, which was of particular interest.
It was great to meet and speak with a variety of businesses in the Manufacturing, Engineering and Technology space!
