This past week our MD Carolyn Frodsham took part in the Pretty Muddy Race for Life at Heaton Park in Prestwich, to help raise awareness and money for Cancer Research UK

Carolyn was proud to take part in the 5K muddy challenge to raise money in memory of her niece Rebecca Briggs and her mum Maureen Briggs who have sadly both passed away after battling cancer.

Rebecca (23) sadly passed away on 26th February this year after a 20 month battle with Ewing's Sarcoma - a very rare form of cancer. Carolyn described Rebecca as “an inspiration to everyone who she came into contact with. She showed great courage and strength throughout the months of chemotherapy and radiotherapy that she endured.”

The Pretty Muddy race is exactly that. A muddy obstacle course with a few surprises thrown in along the way.  A sea of pink t-shirts took on the course, complete with cargo nets and mud filled tunnels, ending in the grand finale - a large inflatable slide filled with a wet mud pit at the bottom. The race has been designed for women of all abilities to help raise money for this much-valued charity.

As well as completing the race, Carolyn also raised a fantastic £774 towards Cancer Research UK, which will help them in their pioneering and life-saving research to help beat cancer sooner.
