Job description

Our esteemed client, known for a century of engineering excellence and innovation in collaboration with the military for armoured vehicles, is expanding its team. This position is well-suited for an experienced Welder adept at Mig/MAG/TIG processes, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to ensure compliance with safety protocols and European specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety Policy, identifying hazards before commencing work.
Weld using Mig/MAG/TIG processes on Armour plates.
Utilize drawings and fabrication plans to produce components meeting European specifications.
Conduct European re-qualification of welder approval tests regularly.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area, following the 5S principles.

Salary:

Competitive salary of £18.38 per hour, with additional overtime opportunities.
Employee's pension contribution: 4% of contribution salary.
Employer's pension contribution: 7% of contribution salary.
Death in service benefit: 4 times salary.
Notice period: 1 month following a satisfactory 6-month probationary period.
25 days of annual leave.
