Skilled Mechanical Fitter
Full Time, Permanent/ Temp to Perm
As a Skilled Mechanical Fitter, you will be tasked with assembling patient critical equipment to the medical/pharmaceutical industry including variety of isolators for chemotherapy drug distribution such as microbiological safety cabinets, rigid isolators (gloveboxes) and Laminar airflow cabinets.

- Hours are Monday - Thursday 7am - 3.30pm and Friday 7am - 1pm.

Your role includes:
- Using static machinery, battery powered tools including drills and general hand tools.
- Working in a safe manner, achieving a high level of quality
- Notifying the team leader of any shortages in regular materials used
- To complete projects successfully and follow instructions from your manager
- Work with other teams to minimize delays and meet high standards.
- Assembling a full range of metalwork enclosure products manufactured by the company.
- Ensuring all test certificates and serial number logs are completed and kept up to date.
- Some travel to work at client sites across the UK, to fit and install the products.
- Liaising with the tradesman and contractors at client sites as required.
What we are looking for.
- The ideal candidate should come from a strong mechanical background, preferably be familiar with working to a very hight standards in the aerospace, nuclear, medical, or pharmaceutical sectors.
- It's essential to have previous mechanical assembly experience.
- Ideally you will have a City & Guilds, NVQ 3 or equivalent (ideally time served).
- You will be required to travel to do ad-hoc installation work and will require a clean/ valid driver's licence (company vehicle is supplied for work purposes).
- Experience in working with and understanding detailed drawings.
- Previous experience of working to processes and defined quality systems.
- Working to high levels of accuracy and standards of finish.
- To be able to work independently and as part of a team.
