An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shift Supervisor/Skilled Wood Machinist to join a bespoke manufacturing company specialising in high-end, custom-made products located in the Bury/Radcliffe area. This role offers the chance to be part of a dynamic and expanding team, with plans to significantly increase the workforce within the next 12 months.
This role is ideal for a highly skilled wood machinist with leadership experience who is confident operating and programming various CNC and woodworking machinery. It suits someone with a strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to supervise a small team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Salary- Up to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Shift- 2pm till 10pm- training on days
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of skilled and semi-skilled operatives.
- Set, operate, and programme various machines, including Homag, Comec, Biesse, CNC routers, and more.
- Assist in other departments such as spray and assembly as required.
- Report directly to the production manager.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and data entry for production records.
