Our client is a growing Chemical Manufacturer with strong expansion plans and some exciting new products being developed for a range of sectors.

We have a Permanent opportunity to join the business as a Senior Process Safety Engineer progressing into a Process Safety Manager.

You will work closely with the current Process Safety Manager to familiarise yourself with their processes, products, regulations, safety procedures, and more, to provide technical safety support to the site and effective implementation of process safety, whilst carrying out a range of duties:

• You will implement process safety and regulatory requirements, whilst observing risk management.
• You will ensure DSEAR & COMAH regulations are met.
• You will develop safety specifications, equipment specifications, and design HSE plans.
• You will arrange and carry out process safety assessments such as HAZID, HAZOP and SIL studies.
• You will review and produce specifications such as data sheets, schedules, study reports, design calculations and more.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in Process Safety for a Chemical Manufacturer.
• Experience working to COMAH, DSEAR, ATEX.
• Experience in HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA.
• Degree qualified highly desirable.
• Chartered Engineer preferred but not essential.

Location - Wigan
Salary - £60k (dependent on experience)
Permanent - Full Time - 8am -4pm (Mon-Fri)
