An exciting opportunity awaits a seasoned Senior Design Engineer for a role OUTSIDE IR35 in the Sheffield area. The role pivotal in conceptual design and detailed manufacturing drawings within various engineering sectors. This role demands expertise in large-scale Machinery Build, Mechanical Handling, or Rotary Machinery Projects.

The suitable candidates will require their own portable computer with either a Solidworks or Inventor license.

Ideal for individuals with a robust background in complex engineering projects, adept at managing multiple projects to stringent deadlines. Excellent communication skills are essential for liaising across teams and with external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and adapt bespoke products using SolidWorks and Inventor
• Lead complex engineering projects from concept to delivery and installation
• Liaise with shop floor staff, engineers, and clients throughout projects
• Provide technical consultancy to define project specifications with clients
• Manage and coordinate multiple projects from design to customer delivery, focusing on critical paths for timely, high-quality outcomes

In return you'll receive a rate of £40-£45/hr ltd for a minimum 6 month contract.
