Saw Operatives - Day and night shifts available, 6 month contract, potential permanent positions for the right Applicants.

Days - £12.64 an hour

Nights - £16.85 an hour

They are seeking a meticulous and safety-conscious Saw Setter/Operators to join their team. This role involves operating and maintaining saw machines, adhering to quality standards and health & safety protocols. The successful candidate will produce high-quality work while maintaining productivity. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions accurately, and a commitment to maintaining equipment and work areas to high standards.

Ideal Candidate

This role would suit an individual with excellent communication and listening skills, a good grasp of English and Maths. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of production and quality systems, be health & safety aware, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team. While a Forklift Truck and/or Crane Operator certificate is preferred, it is not essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow workplace instructions accurately
• Ensure machines are maintained and operational
• Select and transport materials per job card instructions
• Choose appropriate blades, feeds, speeds, and methods for customer requirements
• Adhere to quality procedures and record information
• Maintain general housekeeping in the workplace
• Participate in special projects on-site with customers
• Safely handle machinery and equipment
• Clean and maintain machines, reporting any faults immediately
• Adhere to maintenance schedules
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management
