Job description

We are working with the UK's leading structural steel manufacturer, whose steel is used in iconic construction projects across the UK and beyond, to recruit an experienced Fabrication Inspector to join their team on a night shift.

For this role, working a night shift, Monday to Wednesday, 6:00 pm to 6:30 am and Thursday, 6:00 pm and 3:30 am, the salary is up to £51,012 per year.

Your role will be to work with the Quality Team carrying out dimensional and weld visual inspection and to support the production team in achieving the right-first-time culture.

The role will involve conducting various process inspections and checks and ensuring that client specifications are met, and quality standards are maintained.

This position would be ideal for someone who has a strong Fabrication background or fabrication inspection background specifically; you must have the following qualifications and skills:

  • High level of competency in dimensional inspection techniques.
  • Visual Inspection experience working towards a CSWIP 3.0 Qualification
  • Problem-solving and defect rectification
  • Good IT skills for reporting

This role would suit an experienced Plater fabricator looking to move to Inspection; full training may be provided for the right candidate.
