Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical)
Day shift - 4-day week!



Introduction


A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join its maintenance team.

The successful candidate will support the continued functionality of plant and equipment through both reactive and planned maintenance. This hands-on role offers a varied working day within a dynamic production environment.



Who this job would suit


This position is ideal for a mechanically minded professional who enjoys problem-solving and working with their hands.

It would suit someone with previous experience in maintenance engineering, particularly within a manufacturing or industrial setting, and who is looking to further develop their technical skills in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

NVQ level 3 preferred but not essential. Ideal candidates will be already in a Maintenance fitter



Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct statutory and preventative maintenance on all plant machinery and equipment
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, identifying and resolving mechanical faults
  • Carry out repairs, part replacements, and machinery rebuilds where necessary
  • Manufacture bespoke replacement parts using milling and lathe equipment
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new plant and machinery in line with design plans

Working hours:



  • Monday to Thursday, 7.00am - 5.30pm (40 hours per week)
