Our client, ES Steel has long term opportunities for Mechanical fitters to work at Burghfield in Reading.

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday - 50 hours per week.

Rate of Pay £34 per hour (CIS) plus £50 per night paid towards your digs allowance

Recent DBS and Security Clearance is preferred for this role, ideally in place and active (used within the last 12 months on a qualifying nuclear site). If you've had previous DBS or SC clearance which has lapsed, please let us know.

Your duties will include the Mechanical Assembly and Installation of machinery, hoists and specialist crane systems, secondary steel work, support rigs and process pipework.

You will work from engineering drawings and documentation to undertake the installation of mechanical equipment within a highly regulated nuclear site.

To be considered you must be able to demonstrate previous experience in the following:

Framework/structural assemblies, Pneumatic and Hydraulic installations, Small-bore pipework installations (Swagelok certified an advantage), Vacuum systems, Machine tool installations, Hoist/MHU installations, Installation of sensors, flow meters, valves, transmitters (or other such control instruments) and Control panel/junction box/enclosure installations

The following attributes / certificates are also essential:

• Time Served Mechanical Fitter with a recognised apprenticeship.

• Mechanical fitting qualification is essential (City and Guilds/ NVQ or equivalent)

• CSCS card

• Current IPAF or MEWPS

• SC clearance (SC can be applied for which may take up to 10 weeks to process)
