I am currently recruiting for a skilled mechanical fitter for my client based near the Stockport area.

This role is ideal for individuals with a completed trade apprenticeship/ NVQ Equivalent with strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for precision engineering.

Salary: £32,979

Flexible working hours as long as you work 37 hours Mon to Friday

This is a workshop-based role, however people will be required to travel to work on sites 5 to 6 times a year, these can be local sites or sites further afield that may require you to work away for a short period of time (roughly a week or two) site based work paid at 1.33

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, configure, install, and commission bespoke projects inhouse and on customer premises, ensuring compliance with site-specific requirements and processes.
• Interpret engineering assembly drawings accurately to assemble machines with precision.
• Act as a liaison between the internal project team and customers, offering on-site technical assistance and support, and managing timely resolution of technical issues.
• Deliver on-site customer support, provide basic training to new and existing customers, and assist in resolving technical issues related to bespoke automation solutions, effectively managing technical scope.
• Maintain clear communication with project leads, providing accurate project status updates for proactive planning.
