Due to big investment, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work with a Global Leader in Defence to work in the heavy engineering sector in Stockport!

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop design solutions in collaboration with the engineering team.
• Check and verify technical drawings and specifications.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including reports and manuals.
• Conduct hardware development and testing to ensure quality standards.
• Act as a representative at customer review meetings, liaising with suppliers.

The ideal candidate for the Mechanical Design Engineer position will possess:

• A degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in the design and development of mechanical systems.
• Strong understanding of large welded and bolted structures.
• Experience leading projects from concept to production.

In return you'll receive a salary up to £50k, a pension of 7% provided by the client and 25 days holidays + Bank Holidays.
