We are working with a precision engineering business in Glossop, who are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. Specialising in high-pressure regulators and valves a mix of Old and Emerging markets, the company offers an exciting opportunity for product design and development.

This role would suit an individual with a Mechanical Engineering degree and at least 2 years of experience in mechanical design, particularly within pressure-related industries. The ideal candidate should possess a good understanding of medium/high pressure equipment, hydraulic systems, and ASME standards. Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor is essential, with additional experience in Autodesk Vault, FEA, and CFD being advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing new product concepts
• Conducting manual calculations to support design concepts
• Creating assembly and testing procedures for new designs
• Ensuring product validation and compliance with industry standards
• Collaborating with the Design Manager and other team members to achieve project goals

In return you'll receive a salary up to £45k, 22 days holiday rising to 25 days with tenure and a company pension.
