Job description

The word growth is thrown around in almost any business when times are good. Growth of profits. Growth of product range. Number of hours you have to work to get everything done…

But what about physical growth of both the facility and the number of people there to pick up the extra work coming through? What about personal growth of their staff?

Our client have expanded in every possible way, sales are up - well above previously set targets, they've acquired a new unit allowing them to do welding and fabrication along with the assembly, production and design they already did, and an increase across the board of engineers joining them. But not just any people, they are looking for people who have the same mentality, who want growth for them and those around them, who want ideas and who want a great reputation in a competitive market.

They are currently looking for a Mechanical CAD Engineer who can use a 3D CAD package. You'll have experience working in a fabrication or manufacturing environment, and can take apart drawings and reorganise them into a more standardised format within the business. You'll have your own personal growth as well, with the development to a Design Engineer position track well established.

Day to day activities will include:

  • Using Solidworks on a day to day, taking apart external drawings and reorganising them.

  • Work with the Engineering Team and facilitate the flow between the design office to the manufacturing unit.

  • Update all drawings and BOMs as required

In return you'll receive a competitive salary up to £30k, 25 days holiday, increasing to 27 days holiday after 5 years' service, a discretionary bonus based on company profits and the opportunity to work with a company who are also proactive and want to really forge ahead in the industry.

So if you're stuck in a rut and looking for a business who is focussed on pressing ahead, get in touch today with Mark Dorey on mark.dorey@emp-sol.com, or 0161 416 6296.
