This role is located at leading manufacturing process plant, operating 24/5, is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join its team on a permanent basis. This pivotal role at their Derby site, involves self-managing tasks within a small technical team, ensuring efficient planned, preventative, predictive, and Reliability Centred Maintenance. Working in a medium to heavy engineering environment Strong communication skills are vital for success in this Monday-to-Friday position, covering both day and afternoon shifts.

This role is ideal for a Maintenance Technician with a proactive mindset, capable of working independently and collaboratively. Those with a background in medium to heavy engineering, diverse skills in electrical and mechanical maintenance, and strong communication abilities will excel in this dynamic environment. A strong emphasis and understanding of H&S is vital, as the client is a big advocate for the highest standards of H&S.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and troubleshoot power distribution, automated material handling, and operational equipment.
• Oversee maintenance of production equipment, material handling systems, and dust collection equipment.
• Handle electrical controls, PLCs, VSDs, servo motors, HMI, and motor control.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks and utilize power and hand tools for repairs.
• Review and complete work order assignments promptly.
