Engineering Labourer

An ongoing rolling contract opportunity is available for an engineering labourer. Offering a 37-hour week with regular overtime.

Suitable For:

This position is well-suited for individuals with previous labouring experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment. The role requires adaptability, effective communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

We are looking for Candidates with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, a collaborative approach and a valid FLT licence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general housekeeping and labouring duties across the site, including tasks such as emptying bins, sweeping, mopping, and occasional painting.
• Handle the manual movement of goods and materials during delivery and collection processes.
• Ensure compliance with the Environmental, Health and Safety Policy, identifying hazards before commencing work.
• Conduct daily duties with professionalism, maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
• Supervise a small team of labourers and oversee the movement of products within the production process.
• Assist with the efficient use of jigs and fixtures to reduce wait times.
• Support supervisors in promoting 5S practices around the factory/site.

Salary and hours :

Working hours"Days only" (mon -thurs 7.00 am to 3.00 pm and fridays 7.00 am - 12.00pm)

Standard rate ( 37 hours ) - £11.02p.hr

Overtime - for the first two hours is paid at £14.69 and £16.53 after the first two hours as well as all day Saturday.
