This role is ideal for someone who has completed a recognized apprenticeship and possesses experience in working on various fabrications in steel and aluminium.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform fabrication and fitting tasks according to project specifications.
Utilize skills gained through a recognized apprenticeship.
Work on diverse fabrications in both steel and aluminium.
Ensure the highest standards of precision and quality.
Collaborate with a dynamic team to achieve project objectives.
Working hours are 7.00am to 3.30pm Monday to Thursday & 7.00am to 12.00 Friday
Competitive salary of £18.38 per hour, with additional overtime opportunities.
Employee's pension contribution: 4% of contribution salary.
Employer's pension contribution: 7% of contribution salary.
Death in service benefit: 4 times salary.
Notice period: 1 month following a satisfactory 6-month probationary period.
25 days of annual leave.

Permanent Position with an annual salary of £35,363.12.

Our client, who has a reputation for working closely with the military on the manufacture or portable bridges, has over a century of engineering excellence and innovation, they are now looking to add to their team. You will be expected to read and understand drawings to assemble part components in jigs and fixtures
Main tasks of job:
To comply with the Environmental, Health and Safety Policy and identify health and safety hazards prior to the commencement of work
To report via approved Maintenance Reporting Procedures any equipment fault or unusual occurrence.
Fabrication on Armour plates
To use drawings, planning fabrication and weld procedures to complete all tasks and ensure through visual inspection that the Fabricated component conforms to the drawing and planning specification and is in line with the European specification
To use hand tools and the appropriate measuring instruments to the task.
To complete European re-qualification of welder approval tests on a regular basis.
To ensure their personal safety and the safety of all other employees is not compromised by their actions and to apply all applicable safety requirements to comply with the regulatory agencies.
To meet deadlines, be flexible, dependable and time conscious and to work with minimum supervision.
To maintain a clean and orderly work (5S) area as required.
To conduct daily duties in a highly professional manner.at all times
We are currently recruiting for Fabrication Engineers for an ongoing contract role within a large industry leading Engineering company based in Stockport.
Candidates MUST have served a recognized apprenticeship and have experience of working on large steel fabrications.
You will be joining the go-to company for deployable tactical military bridging solutions for armed forces around the world, whom we have had an excellent working relationship with since 1996 and have successfully placed over 500 Engineers with them, many staying on to work through ourselves for some years.
Hours of work will be 7.45 am - 4.15 pm Monday to Thursday & 7.45 am to 12.45 pm on a Friday.
