I am currently recruiting a skilled Electrical fitter for my client who are a leading provider in the field based near the Stockport area.

Who this job would suit:

This role is ideal for an experienced Electrical Fitter with a proven track record in building and commissioning bespoke industrial machinery, possessing a can-do attitude and strong communication skills.

Salary- £32,979

This is a workshop-based role, however people will be required to travel to work on sites 5 to 6 times a year, these can be local sites or sites further afield that may require you to work away for a short period of time (roughly a week or two)

Working hours- 8am till 3pm Monday to Thursday Early finish on a Friday- Flexi start times available to avoid traffic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, configure, install, and commission bespoke projects adhering to site-specific requirements.
• Interpret electrical schematic diagrams and wire systems accordingly.
• Provide on-site technical assistance and support, acting as a liaison between the internal project team and customers.
• Deliver on-site customer support and basic training, resolving technical issues with automation solutions.

Key Skills:

• Completed a trade apprenticeship.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and maintenance manuals.
• Extensive experience in assembling, building, installing, testing, and operating heavy industrial equipment.
• Safety-conscious with expertise in electrical systems and panel wiring.
• Familiarity with single and three-phase systems, digital and analogue systems, and pneumatics.
• Competent in electrical fault finding and rectification.
• Experience in working with pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic mechanical fitting.
• Able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
