Our client are specialists in heavy engineering projects across the globe, and we are searching for a talented Electrical Design Engineer to be a vital part of our success.
They are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with minimum of 5 years' relevant design experience. Knowledge of cable design software, experience in designing industrial control systems, including electrical distribution equipment, motor control centres, and panels would be highly desirable.
Your day to day will include:
- Participate in projects throughout their lifecycle, from initial enquiry and early design to detailed design phases.
- Collaborate with the Electrical Project Engineer / Contract Manager to provide engineered solutions based on client specifications.
- Utilise CAD software to draft designs and generate necessary design reports and documentation.
- Maintain close communication with the Electrical Project Engineer / Contract Manager to offer design forecasts and progress updates.
- Attend client meetings to provide technical expertise and project support.
- Create test paperwork and actively participate in Factory Acceptance Testing at panel manufacturers' facilities.
- Support the QH works electrician with any works plant or infrastructure breakdowns.
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety codes at all times.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in electrical engineering.

Note: Eplan knowledge and experience with AC/DC drives systems or hydraulic systems would be considered a distinct advantage. Knowledge of IEC 61508 is also desirable.
