Job description

I am working with a fantastic Manufacturing business that has sustainability at the heart of everything they do.

They are looking for a Designer to join their busy and bustling design office to create bespoke layout drawings for commercial office spaces and will suit someone with creative flair and a passion for all things design.

The day to day role will include:

- Design and create accurate, detailed workplace and office space planning in Vectorworks for a diverse range of clients, providing solutions to design problems and generating design alternatives.

- Prepare project specifications for quotation, including design concepts, material selection, and space planning.

- Initiate research activities in line with project requirements.

- Produce presentations, briefing documents, and concept design packs for review, discussion, and feedback.

- Analyse data and requirements from stakeholders to create layout plans and briefing documents.

- Work with consultants from concept design to site delivery by anticipating business requirements.

- Collaborate with internal functions on planning and implementing office occupation and moves.

- Build strong relationships with internal departments, sales managers, and customers for exceptional service.

- Act as the primary design interface with clients and attend client and site meetings as necessary.

The Person:

- Proven experience of space planning/design on commercial projects/ kitchen design projects.

- Capable of handling multiple competing deadlines and prioritizing accordingly.

- Skilled in gathering, creating, investigating, and interpreting complex documents.

- Works well under pressure and manages time effectively to meet deadlines.

- Strong attention to detail.

- Experience with client-facing and on-site work.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe suites.

- Preferably, experience with Vectorworks.

Working Hours:

- Monday to Thursday: 9am - 5 pm

- Friday: 9am - 2.30pm

Salary: Dependant on experience - please call to enquire
