We have an exciting opportunity on contract for a cost engineer to join a leading business in the Structural Steel industry. This is a hybrid role to be based in either Bolton or Glasgow, with 3 days on site, 2 days remote.

This job would suit individuals with a who has experience working as a cost engineer in an engineering/manufacturing environment. A keen eye for detail, analytical skills, and proficiency in communication are essential for success in this role.

This position involves comprehensive cost analysis, controls, and reporting for various projects, encompassing both capital and non-capital ventures. The role requires adept handling of project costs, adherence to contractual requirements, and proactive management to ensure budget compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct cost analysis and controls for diverse projects.
• Provide recommendations on cost engineering requirements.
• Organize, monitor, and control project costs.
• Ensure accurate reporting of project commitments and forecasts.
• Proactively advise management on budget deviations.

In return you'll receive a rate of £250-£270/day umbrella for a minimum 3 month contract.
