CNC Machinist, Permanent position, Week days, Hourly rate £16.78 an hour

Introduction
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our Client's team, working 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday. The role involves setting up and operating CNC machines, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring the production of high-quality components.

Who This Job Would Suit
This role is ideal for a skilled CNC Machinist with over 5 years of experience in programming, setting up, and operating CNC Mazak machines. Candidates who can interpret complex engineering drawings, adhere to health and safety policies, and seek opportunities for process improvement will thrive in this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete setups and run moderate to very complex parts on CNC machines.
• Perform daily routine maintenance checks on machines (e.g., grease, oil, coolant, filters).
• Liaise with the engineering department for setup sheets, tool lists, and other documentation.
• Operate multiple machines when required.
• Adjust tool offsets to ensure components meet specifications.
• Check components in-process to ensure accuracy.
• Follow and report any issues with routings/guidelines.
• Consistently meet critical engineering specifications.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Communicate with management and staff for shift changeovers and process requirements.

Benefits

• Basic rate of £16.78 per hour
• Overtime available at 1.5x on Friday afternoons and Saturdays (after 40 hours)
• Double time on Sundays
• PPE provided, including eye, hearing, hand, and foot protection
