Free Falling For The Christie

G0078098

The weekend brought something a little out of the ordinary for our Divisional Manager Mark Tickle, of our sister company First Logistics. He courageously completed a tandem charity skydive in Lancaster to help raise awareness and money for The Christie.

After a quick safety briefing, Mark was flown up to 15,000 feet, and without time to think, Mark and his tandem dive instructor free fell for 30 seconds at 120 miles an hour until it was time to open their parachute for the four-minute trip back to earth.

The jump which was organised by Black Knights Parachute Centre took place over Cockerham in Lancaster.

Mark chose The Christie as they have helped care and look after many of his family members over the years, more recently his wife’s Granddad Arthur.  Mark said, “The help, care, and affection they showed, not only Arthur but the entire family, made what was a very sad time that little bit more bearable”.

Mark had set an initial target of £400 but the donations soared and are now at a fantastic £932, and still rising days after completing the daredevil jump.

Well done to Mark from all of us at Employment Solutions and First Logistics on this fantastic achievement.

You can still donate to this amazing cause via Marks Just Giving Page.
