Manual Machinist, Temp to Perm after 13 weeks,
£9-£13 an hour, dependent on experience
Working hours are Mon-Fri 7am-4pm
Exciting opportunity for an individual to work for a Company who produces machined plastic components from samples and drawings.
If you have previous manual turning experience, having manual milling experience also will be an advantage.
Experience of working with plastics is preferable but not essential.
Maintain quality and safety standards; keep records and maintain equipment & supplies.
Plan machining by studying work orders, drawings / samples supplied, materials, specifications and tolerances.
Set up vices, jigs & tooling.
Verify settings, produce a first-run part and sample piece whilst adhering to agreed tolerances.
Take measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshoot process; adjust and reprogram controls; replace worn tools; adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes.
Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations at all times.
Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Update your knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications and attending training.
Process improvement, verbal communication, functional & technical skills, controls and instrumentation including tooling, co-ordination, inventory control & attention to detail.
