Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Supervisor to join a company that has a strong manufacturing heritage that stretches back as far as the 18th century at their headquarters in Rossendale, Lancashire.

You will be joining a leading manufacturer of flooring textile products that employs close to 6,000 people, supplies over 400 customers in 7 different countries and generates close to a £1 billion per year.

The company has built a brand so strong that it is trusted and used by most of the worlds best know hotels as well as mosques, cinemas, and airports around the world, they are also the "go to" brand for homeowners flooring needs.

A position has become available for an Engineering Supervisor with an Electrical bias to join the maintenance team on a Permanent basis. You will become a key member of the Engineering function and will be responsible for supervising the engineers and ensuring a timely response to breakdowns, making sure that PPM is completed and to drive continuous improvement across the site.

You will be qualified in an Electrical discipline and be an apprentice trained Engineer with experience of Maintenance, knowledge of PLCs, controls, and automation and have previous supervisory experience.

The starting salary for this role is up to £35,000 pa and the hours of work will be 40 hours a week working 7 am to 3 pm Monday to Friday with overtime available.

The role will move onto a 45 hour week as of April 2018 switching over to four 10 hour days and one 5 hour day. This will be a sliding shift pattern and will involve working 4 out of 7 weekends and with the change in shift pattern the salary will increase to £42,000 pa again with overtime available.
