Commercial Contracts Manager - Competitive day rate/salary dependent on your preference

Small business mentality with a large global corporate presence are looking for a commercial contracts manager to be based in their Birmingham offices.

Our client has secured a number of key contracts within the energy industry both in the UK and internationally. Due to increased work load, they are looking to recruit an experienced commercial contracts manager with knowledge of plant upgrades.

Key responsibilities include

  • The Commercial Contracts Manager will support the work of the project manager and engineers across all projects.
  • Review and manage all details of the contracts
  • Review interface schedules and ordering process
  • Management of claims - rarely warning notices under nec3
  • Training of organisation and setting procedures to follow for management of notice and claims
  • Review weekly monthly and quarterly contract reporting processes.
  • Ensure robust processes are implemented for critical path and management established
  • Establish a contracting strategy for construction
  • Bringing best practise to a new and growing UK organisation
  • Interface within wider business to understand the processes in all parts of the organisation primarily in France and Sweden to ensure strong key stakeholder engagement
  • Continuous improvement of Commercial Project Management
  • Ensure effective chain management
