Well for the last 5 years the business has been employee owned and have gone from strength to strength. A UK leader in packaging and materials handling for light products, they design and manufacture for a wide range of industries such as Automation, Electronics, FMCG, Retail and 3PL amongst others.

Due to an increase in work, they are looking to capitalise on the increase in market and bring in a Technical Sales Engineer. The role reports into a Business Development Manager, who will deal with the cold sales, and then the technical sales engineer goes in and talks specifics. You'll be proficient with a CAD package, have a good head on your shoulders and be comfortable talking to people to determine their needs whilst understanding the product range you have to offer them.

The role is a remote position based in the North of England, and you'll be on the road roughly 60% of the time. As an adult, you'll be treated as such, with the flexibility to run your own your diary around a 37.5 hour week.

Day to day tasks will include:

  • Following up on Sales Enquiries
  • Design custom materials handling solutions using a CAD system
  • Carry out costings, prepare quotations and presenting them to customers
  • Constant communication with developed and developing clients

In return you'll receive a salary of between £30k-£38k, a Car Allowance of £500/month, 20 days holidays + the company shuts between Christmas and New Year + Bank Holidays, bonus up to £5k/quarter, and after 6 months you'll be enrolled in the employee ownership program with a further annual bonus depending on company performance.
